Smear it lightly on the hole on the bottom side of the awning. Follow the same procedure as for rips in the fabric body cutting your repair fabric long enough and wide enough to extend beyond the rip. They can also have holes put through them which is a more obvious roof leak to fix. Clean the area surrounding the leak.

Smooth it out with your finger. Do not lace the awning corner back on until the glue has set up completely. Make sure the awning fabric is clean and free of mildew before repairing the holes. When lowering or retracting the aluminum patio awning there can be problems with the motor of the apparatus.

Put a dab of the silicone caulk on your finger. Repair to the rv awning. During our coast trip our awning suffered some damage during a wind storm on christmas day.
